May 15th I blogged:
A Look At The new PayPal account overview and history pages
since then I have played with the new look a bit more and hear
is 2 thins I have found that I am not dancing with joy about:
The first thing is when you go to your history of
your transactions it is not as easy to find the link to download all the
previous transactions into a QIF file to import into Quicken.. (I do this weekly
to save myself time on entering each transaction by hand).
I
normally would log into my Paypal account, click on view history or view all
right above the summary of recent transaction, then on that page along the left
side click onto download history to get my QIF file. With the new design
there is a different way to do this.
From the top of most pages (once you are logged
into PayPal) click on the "My Account" tab, and then click onto (or hover over)
the "History" link. A menu will drop down and there is where you will
click onto "Download History"
You will be taken to the Download history page:

Be
warned, if you do go to your complete history and you see a link in the upper
right hand corner that looks like the image to the right – this link of
"More" will not give you the QIF format option for downloading.
The other issue I have with the new layout is that it no longer
will give you a running balance o the history page – which was helpful when I
did import the data from the QIF files to find any mistakes when the ending
balance did not match up.
